Packer creation: ZIP vs zip extension

What determines whether an archive is given an uppercase (ZIP) or lowercase (zip) extension in the packer creation window within TC?

Is there a way of making TC always give lowercase extensions for the archive name in the packer window?

tc determines this by the DOS filename. If this fn is uppercase, the whole archive name will be uppercase... there is an option called "Show old 8.3 filenames lowercase (like Explorer)" but this option does not influence the archive name... may be forgotten or it was not planned
