Total Commander Pocket 1.12 Problem

Post by *Volker »

Hi

I appreciate to use also the Pocket Commander, as well as I do this with the usual Total Commander for many years.

There is a small problem. I have the network path saved in an icon, to get easy access to my network folders.

My Pad needs manual network login. Whenever I start the Pad and then the Commander, I get the error message "error 1222 during connect to folder." And off course, I have no access to the network.

Interestlingly, this only happens, when I have German as language selected.

After having connected to the network, I do not get an error message, when I start the Commander.

The error 1222 means "the network is not present or was not started".

I have a few questions:
1. How do you connect "manually"? Total Commander/CE should show a connect dialog when a network share is not accessible. Or do you mean manual dialup?
2. Did it work with the previous version?

Hi

I have to log in to get contact to my Access Point via a WLan.

When I logged in, I have then access to the Internet or my Network.

But, in some cases I only wish to work with my WebPad, without logging in to the Network. Also in these cases I often use the Total Commander, and get the mentioned error message. But only when I start the Commander for the first time. When I start the Commander again, I do not get the error message.

It's really not a big problem.

In my message was a small mistake - I am talking about Commander 1.2 and not 1.12. I did not have the same problem with 1.11.

Hmm, version 1.2 should behave the same as 1.12. I guess that you closed Total Commander/CE while the current directory was set to the network. Then when you re-opened the program, Total Commander/CE tried to access the network share and gave you this error and switched back to the root. The next time you opened it, the current dir was set to the root, so there was no error shown. Could this be what happened?

No, I get it always, even after made a reset on my Pad.
Maybe, this can come from, that the Commander is developed for other Pads and not for the Simpad.
When I install the Commander, I get the message, that this program probably will not run as it was not developed for this kind of Hardware.
But it works fine.
Thank you for your excellent work.

No, should be no problem! Please try this:
1. Start the Commander
2. Set both dirs to a local directory
3. Explicitly CLOSE the program
4. Start it again

Do you still get the above error now?
