Good afternoon
We often start e.g. creating a new Directory (F7) and start entering the
new Directory-Name. The 2nd part of the Directoryname can be copied
from another application, so:
1. Task Switch to the Application
2. Copy the 2nd part of the Directoryname to the Clipboard
3. Task Switch back to TCMD
4. and Paste - ouch! TCMD marked the complete text in the Textfield
and we start over typing again...
It would be nice if TCMD keep textfields, cursor and marked text
just as they are, even if tasks are switched.
Thanks a lot in advance,
kind regards,
Thomas
Dialog-Textfields are marked after Task-Switching

1. Start renaming
2. Just press the right arrow one time
3. and then paste Ctrl+V
Or
1. Task Switch to the Application
2. Copy the 2nd part of the Directoryname to the Clipboard
3. Task Switch back to TCMD
4. Press F7
5. Type the first part
6. insert the second part Ctrl+V
Or i didn't get the question?

Thank you for the workarounds, but they still are workarounds...
I often use Copy Paste between different Applications and I never
have to work around some automatic Text selection features -
even if I open a file in Word the Filename-Field
does not automatically change something and there is also no
problem with Textfields in MS Access Aplications.
The only trap I always capture is in TCMD...
Just for general education:
Would it be a solution to replace Textfields by Memo-Fields?
Kind regards,
Thomas
