Hi
I've been looking for file managers for some time now, and I have settled for TC for a while (about to give up on frigate as it crashes all the time - but that's not the topic)
I often connect to friend's FTP servers, and one of those seems to be pretty unstable, as I lose the connection pretty much all the time after a while.
For example, using only one connection, I start a download and after a while the download stops, I don't receive anything from the server but TC never closes the connection.
It seems it didn't even detected something was amiss, as cancelling the download sends an ABORT command (which of course hangs too as it doesn't get any answer from the server), and so on, until I manually disconnect.
Appart from the fact that there is a pb with my friend's FTP server or connection (firewall, passive vs passive etc), it would be nice to have a timeout setting, in order to prevent this from happening.
Other FTP programs often have a 60 seconds timeout, upon which the connection is disconnected and reconnected to continue with the download.
Could that be done in a future release? (hopefully soon!)
Timeout handling in FTP
