Please consider bringing it back
Another thing I didn't quite like was how big and bloated the attribute dialoge box had become. I use it quite a lot with my keyboard (space, space, tab, enter etc.) and I think it might need a cleaning up. I suggest a "more button" to display the plugins settings. Something like this maybe? :

The final thing I didn't like with the new version, is the blue tint on the "default unassosciated icon" icon. I made me think there was something wrong with the color balance on my monitor. I'd rather have them neutral grey like before (as seen on the right side on this screenshot)

I hope you like my suggestions, and pray some of them make the final cut. Even tough they are only minor visual changes
