Unzipping archives

Post by *Gerry Busch »

When I use TC Pocket to extract files from a subdirectory stored in a ZIP archive, the dialogue sometimes suggests a target folder with a .ZIP extension. I can edit that before tapping OK, so it's not a serious issue, but it can be confusing nonetheless.

Thanks for the report. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with ZIP subdirs - I could reproduce it when the OTHER panel showed an open ZIP archive. I will correct that. Can you confirm that this is the same problem as you have?

I am using single-pane view when it occurs, with the zipped contents on the screen. I select a file in a subdirectory of the archive, then tap the copy/move button and choose my target directory in the tree dialogue. That's when I see ".zip" appended to the file name.

This never occurs with archives that contain no subdirectories, however.

Well, when you use a single panel, TC treats the current panel as the target panel. It's therefore the same effect.
