TC7rc5 - Network connections, help not closed

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC7rc5 - Network connections, help not closed

Post by *white »

This might not be related to TC because TC's help states:
"If a network supported by Windows is installed, this menu option opens a dialog box to connect network drives. This dialog does not belong to Total Commander, but is specific to the network."

My network:
Primary network: Microsoft Family Logon
Secondary net: Microsoft Network

My OS: Windows 98
  1. Open the Network Connections dialog (menu Net/Network Connections).
  2. Press F1. Some help text is displayed.
  3. Click somewhere outside the help text box. The help text box is closed.
  4. Repeat step 2 and 3 until help text is not closed.
  5. Help text remains. Even when dialog and TC are closed.
  6. The help text can be closed by clicking inside the help text box.
Notes

* There are several ways I can reproduce this problem, but it does not always occur.
* The Options dialog of MS Outlook express uses the same kind of help, but does not have this problem.
* The Browse dialog of TC uses the same kind of help, but does not have this problem.
* The Browse for folder dialog of TC uses the same kind of help, but does not have this problem.

Indeed this dialog and its help are both not part of Total Commander, but belong to the system. Unfortunately I do not have any influence on that behaviour, sorry.
