[REQ] Overwrite dialog: Dblclick on thumb runs assoc. app.
It would be nice if we could run the associated app from the overwrite dialog not only by using the right-click menu but simply by double-clicking the thumbnail.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Accidental executions could be prevented by an INI setting in which the user has to enter all file types which he wants to execute directly:What about exe files and other executable content? For me the context menu is just what's needed at the right place.
ThumbnailsExecute=JPG, PNG, TXT, ETC....
All other extensions should provoke a messagebox with a warning.
An alternative which I would prefer:
ThumbnailsDoNotExecute with a default list of blocked extensions. Would be way more comfortable but a little more risky as probably not all executable types would be catched.
I'd really like to see that feature as right-clicking isn't one of my favourite hobbies.
EDIT: This proposal is outdated, new one here:

This would also be my choice. Here executables (and maybe some script-enabled file formats) could be noted to be protected and let the rest get started.icfu wrote:An alternative which I would prefer:

While this option is more for beginners, I think. So maybe a warning after double-clicking on those formats is more appropriate here than to not execute them?
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

Hello Roman !
« For security reasons, I'm a bit hesitant to support such a feature…»
• Well, seriously: I guess that it might be added, but either with the icfu's prefered improvement,
or with the StatusQuo's warning, or even with a choice between the two…

Ok, here is a modified proposal with two keys, which should make all users happy I guess:
Icfu
Code: Select all
ThumbsExecuteConfirmation=EXE,COM,CMD,ETC...
ThumbsExecute=0/1/2
0 disables doubleclick feature completely
1 enables doubleclicking but ALWAYS asks for confirmation (extra foolproof, default)
2 asks for confirmation ONLY for extensions in ThumbsExecuteConfirmation
