On certain USB-connected external hard drives TC7-RC4 crashes completely right after right clicking on a directory containing files, attempt to click on "properties" to get count of number of files in directory.
Bug could be limited by size of external hard drive. Bug only appeared when size=500GB. Tested on two other similar external hard drives, one with 120GB capacity and another with 200GB capacity - the possible bug did NOT appear with either of the smaller external hard drives cited.
OS=Win XP SP2 completely patched with all msft updates. Total RAM 750MB

I have to give my standard answer here because the right click menu is NOT created by TC itself:
The problem you have is most probably a faulty shell extension.
To correct it, please try the following:
1. Get the free tool ShellExView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
2. Disable all context menu shell extensions one by one (you can hide/keep
those belonging to Windows, they are usually OK).
3. Continue until Total Commander stops crashing

Problem Described for RC4 Gone in RC5
Although stated not a TC issue, the behavior described originally seems to have completely disappeared RC5 versus RC4.
