When browsing remote computers TC shows the description of the remote computer in the path fields above the file lists and also next to the command line.
While this may be a feature by itself the annoying part is that cm_EditPath also shows the description instead showing the real path.
Update: presing Enter after using cm_EditPath opens C:\WINDOWS.

This is a "benefit" introduced with Windows XP.
It occurs, if you are browsing via "Microsoft Network" to the PC.
It helps a little bit to show the Name first, followed by description.
This way you can remove the description by backspace.
The description is removed, if you select a share on this PC.
BTW with TC7 you can show even ALL hidden shares (ALL hidden not only C$,D$)

Code: Select all
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer]
"ToggleCommentPosition"=dword:00000001

history.txt wrote:11.09.05 Added: "Show admin shares" now also shows hidden shares like Share$ - can be turned off in wincmd.ini, [Configuration] AllHiddenNetNames=0

Indeed cm_editpath can currently only edit the displayed name.
