Compare By Content: Toggle between all or different lines

Post by *bobbylove »

Firstly, Good work with the new version. TC doesn't stop to amaze me.

Request/suggestion.
Would it be possible to add functionlity to toogle between viewing all lines (whole file) and just lines with difference.

Thank you
Bob

I have considered this too, but unfortunately it would collide with the compare editor. Example: The user selects text actross two difference sections and press some key. This would overwrite invisible text! There many similar problems, e.g. with copy+paste, adding text etc.

Hm, interesting suggestion.

unfortunately it would collide with the compare editor.
Perhaps this function could be made available in non-edit mode only then?

Nice one. There would be no paste then and copy would copy only the visible lines (with the differences). That would be interesting...

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
