[REQ] WebDav: (Sym)Links

Post by *desolat »

Hey, one feature request for the WebDav FS plugin: Is it possible to add support for symbolic links in WebDav enabled folders in the plugin?

In my case i'm running an apache2 in a cygwin environment on a win xp machine. With the webbrowser i can see symbolicly linked in folders in the WebDav environment and i'm able to browse them but the plugin does not show them. Btw. in the case of cygwin a symbolic link is a normal windows .lnk file in the windows file system. But as the plugin just knows the apache it should work with support for symbolic links.

Thanks for the fine plugin!

I will check that - it depends on what the server reports for these links in the file listing sent to the WebDAV client. The problem with Unix links is that you can't see in a ls -l list whether they point to a file or to a directory. The same problem may be true for WebDAV too.
