Hmm, I implemented it this way so you can use tooltips with cm_showhint even when you don't want them with the mouse. What sense would it have to send cm_showhint if you don't want any tips?

So it's on purpose? That's OK then, i though it might be something unintentional.ghisler(Author) wrote:Hmm, I implemented it this way so you can use tooltips with cm_showhint even when you don't want them with the mouse. What sense would it have to send cm_showhint if you don't want any tips?

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

It would be better if one could disable tooltips for the mouse while still be able to see them with cm_ShowHint when needed. This is not possible right now.Hmm, I implemented it this way so you can use tooltips with cm_showhint even when you don't want them with the mouse.

It seems to work fine here - with this setup:

I agree. I have pointed out a couple of times in the beta-test forum that those two options ("Show filename in list..." and "Win 32 style tips...") should not be dependable on each other.Unchecking "Show filename in filelist" should not grey the lower boxes.
