I'd like to use ctrl+backspace while in-place file renaming (shift+f6) as it works in the copy/move/etc dialogs and in the in-place location renaming (shift+f6 while on [..])
At the moment, ctrl+backspace for file renaming adds a non-printable character.
more ctrl+backspace

Similar matters have been discussed in the past. Anyway, thanks to dantesoft for giving me the opportunity to say the following: IMHO all editboxes where file/path editing may take place should have a unified behavior (command-line, in-place rename, folder creation dialog, etc) and when improvements are made in the future, they should be global. Hopefully this wish will become reality in a not-so-far-in-the-future TC version.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

In the above comment, the Hopefully came with a (not-so-obvious) small bit of disappointment. This is one of the many useful little things that have been asked from time to time and will probably not appear in the near future. I can imagine Christian is swamped with such little things. If he could only be cloned...
