UseIniInProgramDir=7 and Win98

Post by *roentgen »

It seems that TC ignores UseIniInProgramDir=7 and only looks in the registry to find the ini location on Win98 systems.

Unless I'm missing something obvious... I didn't have much time to test.

Tested ONLY with TC 7.02.

No problem here: W98SE, UseIniInProgramDir=7 but no registry entry ever
Maybe you start a copy of totalcmd.exe (instead of a link to totalcmd.exe)?

I think it's related to the ini redirection feature, specifically redirecting [Configuration] section isn't working.

The very same setup (on a USB stick) works fine in XP.

history.txt wrote:17.05.06 Added: ini section [Configuration] can now also be redirected via RedirectSection= option. The options AlternateUserIni= and UseIniInProgramDir= will always be read from the non-redirected file, though
