CTRL+F8 and Alt+F10 issues (TCmd= 5.51)

Post by *vicray »

I just became aware of a strange behavior when using these kbd shortcuts (Those of you with PSP installed might be able to replicate my findings).

CTRL+F8

- Focus on left panel --> Change to root directory where PSP is installed
- Focus on right panel
- Ctrl+F8 ==> left panel's directory tree opens on right panel

Compare: PSP's directory on left panel has 17 subdirectories vs. none in right panel's directory tree.

Now go to right panel, shrink PSP directory and expand it again --> Now it shows the 17 subdirectories
or
Go to left panel and double click on any of the PSP's subdirectories --> Now right panel shows the 17 subdirectories

Finally:

- Back again in left panel --> Change drive --> Right panel's directory tree reflects the change in drive
- Change once more to root directory where PSP is installed --> Right panel's directory tree displays again none of PSP's subdirectories

A similar behavior happens with my OfficeXP directory, Flash Mx...: none of its subdirectories are show in right panel's directory tree when it first opens (my tests have stopped here)

ALT+F10

Same thing. PSP, OfficeXp, Flash MX.... are shown like not having any subdirectories.

So, why are some directories not initially fully displayed in directory tree? My computer? A known-issue? By design? (Why?)

Enjoy your weekend

Did you checked the "Always load the complete directory tree" option in Configuration (tab display)?
