Synchronise based on day or week

Post by *sujanlal »

I would like to synchronise file and folder based on day or week. For example everyday i am working on different folder and files and i would like to synchronise only those files and folderes at the end of the day to my USB. I can do manually selecting those folderes if i remembere the folders. However it would be very useful and nice if TC remembers those folder and can be configured in synchronise window to synchronise only those folders.

Make a search with few days before parameter (how many do you want) and/or directory (folder) attribute set ON, [save this search - if you want to use again,] mark those folders and ... synchronize!
Increase your speed by making-up a special button for this with LOADSEARCH <saved_search> command.

Thanks for the help. However I have still some questions.

mark those folders
How can I mark the search lists? I used feed to Listbox and it goes to TC main window and displayed the folders in Search Result tab.
You mean manually mark these folders one by one.

I saved the search with name "OnedayOld" and I used parameters with this name in new button bar that i created with LOADSEARCH command. But when i click this button, it gives me the message "File not found!". What i am doing wrong with this button?

You have to put the name of the search directly after the LOADSEARCH command in the "Command" field - don't put it in the "Parameters" field.

You have few possibilities, of course into feed box, [none] -> [all]:
- Invert selection [Shift]+'*'
- Select All - Ctrl+[Shift]+'Num +' or Ctrl-A
- Select *.* both files and directories - [Shift]+'Num +'
- Right Click Mouse over all dirs
- Left Click on first dir + Shift+End

...and so on.

I don't know if it is another way. Just I'm curious...
:)
