Maybe this has been mentioned but I'll post it anyway...
I'm running the version 7.02a and have something to report. When I have a file in My Documents, My Pictures, My Desktop, etc. I have problems uploading them unless I go about it in a specific way.
Since Total Commander loads the Desktop and My Documents in a fashion that displays them as \\Desktop and \\My Documents, the uploads always error when going to an FTP.
I have to manually navigate to c:\documents and settings\username\desktop in order to actually upload the file. Is there any way around this, or is it simply something inherent to the application? I use the navigation window on the far left side with the explorer-type view for quick shortcuts to different folders. It would be nice if I could simply use that instead of having to manually choose that specific folder and file by navigating through a few folders first. Else the shortcuts seem useless for FTP access and only useful for regular file access.
Uploading from Desktop or My Documents

Hello, Ghost96.
T.C.'s handling of virtual folders like Desktop, "My Documents", "My Music" etc, is far from perfect.
In order to navigate more quickly to the real (user) folders instead, the following list of variable names may be helpful. The variables are TC internal variables and can be used inside TC almost everywhere where you can use a full pathname as well.
The list is here: Pseudo environment variables.
E.g.:
Type this inside the TC commandline: cd %$DESKTOP%. You will jump to your personal desktop folder, not the virtual folder.
Type this inside the TC commandline: cd %$COMMON_DESKTOPDIRECTORY%. You will jump to all users' desktop folder, not the virtual folder.
Type this inside the TC commandline: cd %$PERSONAL%. You will jump to your "My Documents" folder.
Simply try.
