Unadequated text explanation in Help File: View & Edit

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Unadequated text explanation in Help File: View & Edit

Post by *eugensyl »

Now is:
"Default = Here you can choose the file viewer which will be called if there is no association for the specific file. If you do not specify a viewer, the internal viewer will be used."

In fact is mean the path for External Alternate Viewer (Alt+F3).
My Best Wishes,

Eugen

No, it's correct - if you do not define a viewer here for Alt+F3, and there is also no viewer associated for this extension via the associate button, then TC will use the internal viewer.

[BTW, it's 'inadequate'.]

[BTW2, "It allows to..." is not a valid expression in English. Everywhere throughout Help. Grr. Is there a major project organised to rewrite the Help file, especially since Vista Help is an entirely new beast..? Wouldn't that be lovely?]

Why do I have to search through German in this forum?
Why isn't there a TC Knowledgebase? How about a Wiki?
Do new buyers understand the references to WinCmd in TC?
