The search stopped at 99% with the following error message: "Suchpfad nicht gefunden!" (probably string: 30009). After confirming the error message only the "new search" search result operations is enabled. The "start search" button still shows "stop" but it doesn't seems as if the search is still goin on.
When repeating the search on the same computer but with the find duplicates options disabled no error message is displayed. In this case all search result operations are available.
I guess most users cannot reproduce the problems as it probably requires special conditions but which? There is not even an involved path shown. It might also be interesting to know why the error message is displayed.
Maybe this is related to a folder at the TEMP directory.
A running program may has created a new folder temporarily before the search started and deleted it just at the moment as TC reached it.
=> TC found it, but it was away as TC wants to compare the file inside.
You should exclude the TEM directory for this kind of searches at drive C ...

If this is the reason this might be a workaround until the bug is fixed.
I'm only forwarding this bug report I couldn't reproduce it on computer. If you can provide a detailed way to reproduce the bug that other users can test let us know.
It seems that sqa_wizard is right. I could reproduce the problem in the following manner:
1. Put into the directory C:\Temp\ 3 identical files of large size (so that TC was busy for long enough time — I used the size ~400 MB), e.g. file1.dat, file2.dat, file3.dat.
2. Start search for duplicates by size+contents in C:\Temp. In my case, TC started comparing the first two files, but it may be needed to check with FileMon or something.
3. Remove or rename the third file from another instance of TC.
4. When the first copy of TC finishes comparing file1.dat with file2.dat, it tries to open file3.dat, does not find it and shows the message Lefteous wrote in the first message.
I confirm that in this case only the button New Search becomes enabled, other 3 remain disabled. But the Stop button is renamed to "Start search" at the moment I press OK in the "Search path not found" message box...

Indeed TC expects that the files which were found in the first search step are still there when comparing them by content. I will try to just remove files from the list which cannot be found.
