Changing queue positions order (Alt+UpArrow)

Post by *kamilbaranski »

It'd be great to have a possibility to change queue positions order sometimes.

For example I'm copying 10 DVDs from one HDD to external HDD. And then I think, that I'll copy 11th DVD and that it is more important (because I have too little time to copy as much as I'd like). I add it to the queue, select it, and I'm pressing Alt+UpArrow (or Ctrl+UpArrow, etc.), and it goes up one position.

Similar to Ctrl+Shift+Arrow in The Bat! folders.

Welcome to the forum.

I support your request to move a queued entry by keyboard.

With the current TC (7.02a) it is possible to change the order by mouse only.
(at the paused BTM use drag and drop to move an entry)

Exactly. I didn't know there's an option to change the order in paused mode. And I think I'm not the only one. So supporting this option in not-paused mode would be the best.

I also think that it would be nice to have a possibility to do this by keyboard only (if it's possible to control almost everything in tc by keyboard only).

Greetings, thanks!

When I first implemented it, I allowed it also in non-paused mode, but this caused many problems when copying many small files (e.g. the file which you were moving in the queue was copied and vanished), so I had to restrict it to paused mode.

Why this thing (change items order with mouse in paused mode) does not work in Download Files From List window?

Sorry, I don't remember why I had to make that restriction, but it didn't work properly when I implemented the sorting.

This could be implemented with this:

Is it a linked list?
