microsoft word .doc issue when starting from TC7.02a and 6.x

I have seen a weird bug. when I double click on a .doc file in total commander, microsoft word 2003 starts, small timeout, then can not find the file.
a. The file is stored local.
b. on domain with roaming profiles, but also when the profile is not set to roaming.
c. The profile is linking to a network folder

1. when I disconnect the network, the file opens normally (links to point c)
2. when I doublecllick in windows explorer, the file opens normally
3. Many other formats open normally (also .xls)
4. On 3 different computers, 2xWindows XP sp2, 1xWindows XPx64 sp2

Any idea why this only happens with Microsoft Office 2003 (Word) and not with other programs ? can anyone reproduce this ? Solution ?

Try unchecking DDE in the .doc association settings.
