[FIXED] 7.03 installation minor bug

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[FIXED] 7.03 installation minor bug

Post by *sas2000 »

The name of my configuration files are

TotalCmd.ini & TotalFtp.ini

During installation Tc 7.03 created a new file called wcx_ftp.ini that it's a duplicate of TotalFtp.ini, no problems with TotalCmd.ini (Tested in XpSp2 Spanish) .

This never happened with previous versions

Thanks :)

Strange, I didn't change the installer, it's 100% identical to the 7.02a installer...

Maybe you went to the page where you can change the ini file locations instead of skipping it?

Confirmed :!:

If the ftp config filename is different than default, the installer creates an duplicate called "wcx_ftp.ini"...

It also changes registry entry FtpIniName from TotalFtp.ini to wcx_ftp.ini .

Btw, may you configure the installer to keep user changes in TotalCmd.inc ?. Thanks :) .

I have checked that, the installer is unchanged since TC 7.00!

1. Can you anwser my question please whether you opened the page in the installer where the ini location is changed, or not?

2. Do you perhaps use Windows Vista?

I've tested twice in two different Pc, i do not open the page where the ini location is changed.
A month ago i changed the names of my configurationfiles from T-Cmd.ini & T-Ftp.ini to TotalCmd.ini & TotalFtp.ini, i don't think so but maybe that is why i didn't have problems with previous versions ? :? .
2. Do you perhaps use Windows Vista?
As i said on my first post i use XpSp2 Spanish. Thanks :) .

No, it doesn't matter WHAT different names you use other than wincmd.ini and wcx_ftp.ini. Are you sure you didn't use the default names before?

No, i've just checked my weekly backups and i don't use default names since at least November 2007. And i always make a backup previously to any Tc upgrade, i've checked it and configuration filenames are ok.
