EDIT: This seems to only occur using an external packer (like WinRAR), not with internal ZIP.
The changed archive on the right has to be in the same dir that is displayed on the left.
To reproduce:
left panel: go to a normal directory
right panel: enter a (RAR) archive (located in the same dir that is displayed in the left panel)
copy (add) a single file into the opened archive (left to right)
left panel: select some files (in the normal directory)
right panel: delete a file from the archive
(the selection on the left is removed)
try to restore the selection on the left with key "/" on the num block
The wrong selection is restored, consisting of the 1 file that was previously copied into the archive.
The selection on the left before the file operation (delete from archive) is gone.

Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

Precondition: Archive is located in the same directory as the selected files. In this case, after time stamp of archive changes, TC refreshes the file panel and selection is lost.
All fixed bugs have been moved to the "Confirmed bugs" section. This problem was too risky to be fixed, it could have dozens of side effects with partial names etc. Therefore I have postponed it to TC 7.5.

As of TC 9.50 beta 5 the bug is still not fixed.

Seems to be fixed in TC 9.50 beta 6, now after selecting files in first panel, deleting file from archive in second panel, switching to first panel and executing cm_RestoreSelection there the selection of files/dirs there is restored as expected, checked on Vista 32-bit.
