[suggestion] Lister: Always on top option

Post by *firepol »

I have a suggestion for improvement for the internal viewer (Lister) component:

it would be nice to have a "always on top" option, so that it would be possible to view the lister window containing the notes in front of all the other windows: very useful if I need to manually copy the contents (sometimes copy/paste is not possible).

Support, could be useful (I sometimes missed this, too).
It would be nice if this would also work with plugins/XnView/IrfanView for images.

Copy/paste is not possible e.g. when in another application entries have to be
chosen from a drop down list or the notes refer to multiple places.

Two of thousands alternative existing solutions:

My personal favorite is:

WindowsControl:
<WIN+Shift+Home> "window always on top"

I think it's better to use one system wide method to implement such gimmicks, instead of an option inside TC.

Kind regards,
Holger

AHK, of course. :) Thanks for the hint.
I wouldn't want a system wide tweak, installing extra buttons for every window or something like that,
so AHK is a nice alternative.
