How do I use QuickViewPlus as a Lister plugin?

Post by *nn1k3 »

IEVIEW has been giving me the "Access violation" error that I see mentioned in other posts.

I do have QuickViewPlus. I read that others can easily get that to work with control-Q ("Lister"?), but I'm confused.

What configuration option should I change to make QuickViewPlus act like a Lister plugin? (I also use TC Plugins Manager if that is relevant to easily changing the configuration).

thanks!

QuikViewPlus is an standalone viewer not a plugin, the only way to use on lister-F3-(or QuickView Ctrl+Q) is through IEView.
Here the section on IEView.ini that alow to use QVP on it:

Code: Select all

[Extensions]
; Quick View Plus extensions. Uncomment this line if QVP is installed.
; some extensions in this list are not automatically supported by QVP when called from IE, so some
; configuring may be required. Or just remove those that you do not want to view.
;qvp=.vsd;.ppt;.asp;.drw;.lwp;.prz;.wpd;.qpw;.uue;.zip;.123;.gz;.tar;
Ps: I don't have QVP, so I can no test this

Thanks to the comment by Dott, I'm catching on, but I still get the fatal error.

I should have said that the error happens when I use IEVIEW to Ctrl+Q doc and xls files.

I tried adding doc and xls to Dott's "qvp= ..." line, but that did not help.

help!
