Start menu shortcut
Shortcuts have been pre-defined as CTRL+ALT+F1...etc.
Is there a way to change them to some other key combinations?
Thx.

Re: Start menu shortcut
You can change shortcuts using wincmd.ini in [shortcuts] section. Read the help, eg.Raymond wrote:Shortcuts have been pre-defined as CTRL+ALT+F1...etc.

CAS+F2=cm_renameonly
In this example, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F2 calls the internal function cm_renameonly.(C=Ctrl, A=Alt, S=Shift)
Re: Start menu shortcut
Maybe I didn't make my question clear.
I put an external program in the Start menu, and want to use shortcut to start it. In CONFIGURATION -> CHANGE START MENU -> SHORTCUT KEYS, I can only choose from the drop_down menu, but I think those CTRL+SHIFT+Fn is not handy for me. Is there a way I can define the shortcut keys myself?
BTW, these shortcut keys can't be found in Wincmd.ini [shortcuts] section.

Re: Start menu shortcut
Simply say, by editing wincmd.ini in [shortcuts] section, can i call an external program instead of the internal functions?djk wrote:You can change shortcuts using wincmd.ini in [shortcuts] section. Read the help, eg.Raymond wrote:Shortcuts have been pre-defined as CTRL+ALT+F1...etc.

If you put any external program in TC Start Menu and it's saved in wincmd.ini as e.g.:
[user]
menu1=My program
cmd1=C:\Programs\S55\PsmPlay4.5.exe
iconic1=-1
You can change it's shortcut like this:
[Shortcuts]
S=cm_usermenu1
Than typing "S" you call the first program in your StartMenu.
You can do it manually in wincmd.ini or via Configuration / Options / Misc. / Redefine hotkeys.
If you have more than 10 programs in your start menu you must do it manually in the ini file.

Wow, I didn't ever know I can define internal commander name myself. It will be more meaningful than just "cm_usermenu..". Amazing!
Thank you, Black Dog! Glad to see you again!

Well, as for me internal command # is the most convenient way.
