Needed: Who can update the SFTP Plugin

Post by *Mikefield »

Hi Developer, is here anybody out there :) , who can update the sftp Plugin?
Since openssh 5.0p1 is out, it's not longer possible to connect with the SFTP-Plugin.
Christian Ghisler means, that the latest putty Version must be worked into the plugin.
The sftp page is here: http://developer.berlios.de/projects/sftp4tc/

Thanks

Is anyone here able to download the source code of this plugin with cvs or svn?

I tried with Tortoise SVN first, but it just hangs. Then I tried cvs.exe, but all I got was an error, connection refused.

According to their web site, anonymous download should work like this:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.berlios.de:/cvsroot/sftp4tc login

But all I get is the following:

(Logging in to anonymous@cvs.berlios.de)
CVS password: <ENTER>
cvs login: authorization failed: server cvs.berlios.de rejected access to /cvsroot/sftp4tc for user anonymous

Any ideas? I can browse the repository on their site, but there are too many files to download them one by one manually...

Maybe use some website grabber for HTML version of their repository? I recommend HTTrack. I've used it once to get Miranda IM repo ;)

use tortoise checkout (from context menu) and url http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/sftp4tc/trunk

did work for me... have fun with the compile errors ;) As I stated here (german), it's not just putting new putty sources in project and compile...

I think a better approach is to use the putty sources and adjustments found in filezilla project. Mr. Kosse made a special version (fzsftp) of psftp (included in putty sources) which lets him use psftp in filezilla. PSFTP originally is a commandline-based sftp client... But the changes in putty source are only a few whereas psftp/putty used by sftp4tc was changed quite alot... So integrating new putty source is not much fun at all..

This is an old thread, but since other folks might end in this thread:

There is an update to SFTP4C 1.2.60.1 using PuTTY 0.60!

Enjoy
