shift f9 same as shift f10
Using shift+f10 in TC should bring up the context menu but in 7.04 this does the same thing as shift+f9. This worked in up to 7.03 but not now. Just wanted to let everyone know.
Damn ! Confirmed !

• I can confirm ! Both act the same, and nothing is remapped here in that 7.04 version.Shift+F10 should and does open context menu.
Shift+F9 does the same too, although it is not defined as such.

Re: shift f10 same as shift f9
I should have mentioned in the original post that shift+f10 highlights the foler name in the pane being used and does not being up the context menu. Shift+f10 does bring up the context menu in windows explorer, but who's going to use that...mumvideo wrote:Using shift+f10 in TC should bring up the context menu but in 7.04 this does the same thing as shift+f9. Like I said: Check hotkey remapping in TC or check 3rd party utilities...I should have mentioned in the original post that shift+f10 highlights the foler name in the pane being used and does not being up the context menu.
If the folder name is "highlighted" – I guess you mean that the panel title bar is activated? – there is a good chance that you have redefined Shift+F10 to cm_EditPath in TC...

The title of that thread is the opposite of that it should be, since the only documented short cut
to open the local menu is Shift+F10 (same than in Explorer), and Shift+F9 an unexpected duplicate.
• Please, edit and do it, or else I'll do myself…

I cannot find any code difference in hotkey handling between TC 7.03 and TC 7.04. When F9 (or Shift+F9) is received, TC posts an F10 (or Shift+F10) keyboard message to itself.
This is done mainly to access the right menu with F9 when in the right panel.
F10 is handled directly, so no F9 configuration should have any effect on F10 or Shift+F10.

I can confirm the behavior, when assigning an other command to <Shift+F10>.
In this case <Shift+F9> is remapped too
(but it's no different behavior in TC7.03 or TC7.04)
Kind regards,
Holger

May be it's better to post a WM_CONTEXTMENU in response to <Shift+F9>?ghisler(Author) wrote:... TC posts an F10 (or Shift+F10) keyboard message to itself.

I will consider that for a later release, it may have many other side effects.

A final word from me on this
I found that shift+f10 was set for "cm_EditPath" I hadn't thought to remap this within TC as I usually have had no need to do these things in the past, but I reset this and problem solved, at least for me.icfu wrote:Like I said: Check hotkey remapping in TC or check 3rd party utilities...I should have mentioned in the original post that shift+f10 highlights the foler name in the pane being used and does not being up the context menu.
