what I am missing are tab-combinations
You can save a left+right tab combination in a .tab file and then load it from the Directory hotlist, the Start menu or a button in the buttombar by the use of the OPENTABS <filename> command. Note that <filename> has to be stated with full path.

Wow, there's something new to learn about TC nearly every day!
That's much better than multiple instances :)

To give something back: TCQueuePos.pas, the miniature app to have the TC queue window wherever one wants each time it re-opens.

Hi all

why is there a difference if I unpack totalcmd.exe (7.03 ) with unpack32_700 or with unpack32_703 ?

The two uncompressed file work fine, but one is 2889424 bytes long and the other is 2911688 bytes long. ( 22264 bytes of difference )

just a question ...???

Thanks.

unpack32_700 and unpack32_703 are not the unpackers. They are self-extracting archives containing unpacked totalcmd.exe file (for version 7.0 and 7.03, respectively).

Have you noticed that both packed and unpacked exe files of version 6.58 report themselves as version 6.57 when you check their properties in Windows?

Sorry, I must have forgotten to update the resouces. Please check Help - About Total Commander to verify that you have the right version.

Packed or unpacked, none of these can be edited by an icon editor or whatsoever, due to the checksum warning. Can I disable it somehow?

No you can't, but you can use an external icon library. Use the wcicolib file as a starting point, from here:

Change cursors

Post by *Clo »

 ghisler(Author)

:) Good morning,

{Aside}

• In ANOTHER THREAD, the user pawelw is telling about change also the cursors, that indeed is not possible
with <Wcicolib.icl> currently.
- That ICL is now almost nine years old, thus I thought that it should be convenient to have cursors resources in it too.
I made a test with a small ICL of mine, it's quite possible to add cursors in an ICL, that works…
- The downside is that the common ICL viewers ignore the cursors, but that could be solved soon with a tool we help for,
written by a very talented young author, that's a good TC-COMPLEMENT.

• What do you think ?

Indeed it wouldn't be difficult to replace the cursors this way. I will consider it.
