It doesn't work this way, check it.

It was because of MFC42u.DLL old version - thank you, djk!!! :))) The one from w2k distributive solved the problem.

BTW, Vadim, are you beta-tester? I'm asking because I have some visual "special effects" using TConsole with new tabbed interface. Didn't you noticed any strange behavior of opposite to opened TConsole panel dir path and tabs while opening TConsole? Actually you should expect some compatibility problems with 6.0.[/face]

Thank God! And thank you, djk!!! :)

You mean switch panel from TConsole to file list?
Check option "Handle Alt+Arrows" and you'll able to switch by Alt+Left/Right. ;)

Because i'm not beta-tester, this is exactly thing i do!

Yeah, thanx them both :).

No, to opposite panel.

Bugs:

• I can't pass to console any input in "regular" mode if I use "Letters - with search dialog" Quick Search mode.
• Exiting Commander with TConsole opened leads to it's hang (NT4SP6a, w2kSP4).

Suggestions:

• Is it possible to show "Mode changed to ..." message on mode change in console output?
• IMHO it would be a good idea to set one KBD shortcut for secure/regular mode switch.
• Is it possible to use "Win" key in mode switch KBD combination instead of "Ctrl"+"Alt"?
• Add all supported command to console context menu (i.e. switch secure mode on/off and switch to secure mode until ENTER or ESC key pressed).[/face]

It's not a bug, but feature! :) In the "normal" mode TConsole pass keystrokes to TC, and TC works according to quick search settings.
Exiting Commander with TConsole opened leads to it's hang (NT4SP6a, w2kSP4).
It happens for me too, but in very rare cases and never under debugger. :(

I thought about it but there is no place for permanent mode indicator. Or you mean something like tooltip?

All other suggestions - already in my "to do" list.

It's a bug and I'll tell you why %).
If you have "Letters - with search dialog" Quick Search mode activated, Commander redirect KBD input to CL if you press "<-|->". But TCon intercept "<-|->". So you just can't type anything into CL from KBD. And this is a bug.

V> It happens for me too, but in very rare cases and never

Well, it happens EVERY time in my case even if I already closed TCon, actually. May be because of "Buffer Size: 999" or "Screen buffer Size Height: 9999" values? ;)

No, I mean "in console output" %). I want TConsole to type this information inside console window. And as optional feature play user defined sound.

Nice to hear :).

Well, I think you wouldn't release a new version before TC 6.0 release, but I'll wait for it impatiently.[/face]

Unfortunately true :-(
All other FSPlugins (the ones I use) work ok but this one not.

Can anyone confirm Tconsole not being able to Exit when using in a panel that has a single Tab ?
Tested with 6.0 and 6.01beta2

(note: you must have "show header tabs only when there is only one tab" on in the Folder Tabs options)

On WinNT - TC hangs even I have several tabs. Every time I choose a drive willing to close TConsole it hangs - Task Manager shows CPU using: 99-100%.

Maxwish,

I cannot confirm this, but when I switch to TConsole on a single tab, on the right panel (with two tabs) the line where the directory is printed will disapear as well as the line where I can choose the sorting after name, ext, etc.
Also TConsole is working very slowly: dir c: (root) takes about 20 s to show up.

Closing TConsole again (by selecting a drive from drop down list) will not give these two lines back.

left panel: TConsole (single tab), right panel d: and e: drive
TConsole 1.8
TC 6.0b2
W2K SP4 all patches, german version

djk,

when I have opened several tabs, I was not able to close TConsole. Switching to another drive only showed me in drive dropdown list the selected drive, but in tab TConsole had still been open.

TConsole 1.8
TC 6.0
W2K SP4 all patches, german version

Now with TC 6.0b2 this behavour has changed. TConsole will close by selecting another drive.
But I encounter other problems, as I have described above.
