You need to log just Total Commander. Then put a file to be watched in an otherwise empty directory and set this directory in both TC panels to reduce the number of file function calls when switching to Total Commander.
Now start logging, and then view the file in TC with F3. Now look for failed read or write calls...

What's that PML file for? Filemon cannot open it, nor can the associated performance monitor...

Process Monitor:

FileMon and RegMon might not work correctly in Vista (I had few problems with that).

Thanks, that worked.
Looks like the plugin is trying to load Visual C++ 8.0 runtime libraries, but cannot find them...

There are no write errors in these logs. Just in the third log it's looking for files ImgView.CSY, ImgView.CSY.DLL, ImgView.CS and ImgView.CS.DLL. Maybe you can ask the ImgView author what these files are for.

imgview error message whn viewing some tif files
Quick view with ImgView stumbles on some tif files with error
"Cannot load image. The compression scheme is not supported for TIF/TIFF files."
Is there an easy fix? (It is only a minor inconvenience). Thanks!

Plugin seems to be outdated.
Maybe try to use Imagine instead:

In a way I have to admit that there is some thruth to this statement but on the other hand there is a bit of work still going on about the improvement of my ImgView lister plugin.Plugin seems to be outdated.
Since nearly one year I am thoroughly testing the new version 2.0 of ImgView with a number of new features (support of PSPIMAGE files and animated GIF images, improvement of the loading speed of JPG files by a factor of 3 to 4, optional anti-aliasing etc.). But because of a few minor bugs still to be removed I have not yet published this version. Due to the immense workload from my regular job I simply didn't find the time to finish my work on this plugin.
It's been some time now, have you tested what you needed? I'd love to use auch a plugin for displaying images in the quickview. Yours seems to be the only one, but the version I managed to download does not work in 64 bit Windows 7 with TC 7.56a.Michael Diegelmann wrote:I am thoroughly testing the new version 2.0 of ImgView with a number of new features
Thanks, it works!
Hi people! The problem with ImgView plugin seems to be unimprovable. Nothing helps. (Windows XP, Total Commander 7.56a, absolutely any install directory)fenix_productions wrote:2nn1k3

{Unofficial} Imagine plugin really works instead of ImgView, and works wery well. Thanks for solution!
What the reason prevents Christian Ghisler public this alternative plugin at official plugins page?
