I'd suggest that when i enter a directory through an .lnk file then total commander would remember where the lnk file was located and when i exit the dir (through ..) then it would go back where the lnk file was. This could be an option which could be toggled in the preferences.
Would this be complicated?
entering dir through lnk and return to where lnk was
