ex2fs does not work anymore

Post by *jbonsai »

Hello everybody,

even though I've been using the plugin for quite some time now, it suddenly stopped working and I can not access reiserfs/ext3 partitions anymore. I try to enter linux-drives in the Network Neighbourhood and the plugin tells me:

Ext2 plugin: 0 partition(s) found
Make sure you run as an Administrator!

I am Administrator on 2 Computers, I've tried to use the plugin and it happens both on a partition on the internal harddisk and also on an external harddisk.

I've been checking if it is a problem with my linux-drives and have been testing the drive internals linux reader, with that program it works just fine.

I hope that someone can help me with that.

Thanks in advance

Did you change anything recently, e.g. updated to Vista, or to a newer Linux kernel/distribution?

No, I did not change the system. The only thing that happened before, was that my HDD was crashed and I had to install an image on the new HDD, but I do not think that could be the reason, because it was from the system it worked on before. I have also, after it did not work with reiserfs, reformated that external HDD with ext3 and had the same result.
