iPhoneNet file system plugin 1.0.0.2 with iTunesDB browser
Hi,
I am an every-day-Total-Commander-user and a happy iPhone owner.
Inspired by tbeus post I decided to try C# plugin development too.
Well, that is the result:
Description:
iPhoneNet is a file system plugin for Total Commander to access the iPhone
via USB connection. You can browse Directories/Files of the iPhone and copy
them to your harddisk. The iTunesDB database is read and you can 'virtually'
browse the media files sorted by Artist and Title.
Limitations:
o Limitations of MosTech.TotalCommander apply. See Readme_MosTech.NetWrapper.txt.
o Limitations of manzana (no FileAttributes, no FileTime info)
o Limitations of SharePodLib apply. See Readme_SharePodLib.txt.
o Currently only read access to filesystem and iTunesDB
ChangeLog:
o Version 1.0.0.2 (20.1.2009)
- SharePodLib.dll updated to version 3.8.7.0, supports iTunes 8 database format
- filesystem access changed for iPhone version 2.x
o Version 1.0.0.1 (23.11.2007)
- Added 'virtual' iTunesDB browser at "Network Neighborhood\dotnet\iPhone\<iTunesDB>"
o Version 1.0.0.0 (30.10.2007)
- first public version

I would love to try your plugin to compare it with the one I'm using at the moment, but I'm getting a very similar message: "Total Commander 32 bit international version, file mana har stött på ett problem och måste avslutas." (which means more or less that file mana has encountered a problem and is shutting down).
I'm on Windows XP SP3 with iPhone 3G 2.2 (jailbreak)
Any ideas why?
Many thanks!

Uff, it is quite a long time ago that I wrote this plugin...
It was the time of 'hacked' iPhone 1.1.x and no direct IPhone support of SharePodLib.
The "mana" error message comes from the iTunesMobileDevice.dll of iTunes 8.
Version 7.3.85.0 (filesize 1'085'440 bytes) from iTunes 7 works fine on my WinXP SP3 notebook with iTunes 8 installed.
Updated the plugin to support iTunes 8 database format and filesystem access for iPhone version 2.x see 1st post.

Any ideas on where to find iTunesMobileDevice.dll from iTunes 7 (other than uninstalling iTunes 8, installing iTunes 7 copying iTunesMobileDevice.dll and then reinstalling iTunes
?
By the way, as I mentioned in another topic (iPhone plugin) there is a very good iPhone browser plugin available on www.woodrey.com/iphone.htm . It's very easy to install (no need to copy any files, just open within Total Commander and it installs itself) and works perfect for browsing the filesystem of your iPhone (also with firmware 2.2), BUT it's not an iTunes DB browser...
