Re: Total Commander CE/Pocket version 2.52 beta 1 available
Gratulations!
TC-Pocket 2.52 beta 1 works fine on my PocketPC
(WM5, Broadcom bluetooth)
Now i can transfer files to my notebook using bluetooth.
Even large files (20MB) are no problem.
Connection to your SSL-Server is no problem.
Transfers to your server are impossible due to rights restrictions.
Downloads are working properly.
Connection to my OpenSSH-Server is impossible.
(I need sftp or scp. )
(I know this needs more time.)
Now something completely different:
After removing TC2.51 and installing TC2.52 beta 1 all my settings for ftp and WebDave-Servers got lost
How can i backup/restore these settings next time ?
By the way. i dont read the postings in this forum every day. So i am sorry for this late response.

Strange, that doesn't happen here! Did you manually uninstall the program, or let the installer remove the previous version? After removing TC2.51 and installing TC2.52 beta 1 all my settings for ftp and WebDave-Servers got lost
Go to the root, then \plugins -> ftp -> HKCU\SoftwareHow can i backup/restore these settings next time ?
Mark the "Ghisler" directory and copy it to any local path. This will create a .reg file.
To restore, you need to switch to 2 window mode, or virtual 2 window mode, then copy the .reg file to the registry plugin.

Re: Backing up settings
I find TC Pocket's registry editor indispensable for backing up program configurations, so the plugin is in my directory hotlist. In my case, I copy the registry key to the clipboard, then paste it to a backup directory for safekeeping. I use the same technique in reverse to restore the settings, i.e. paste the .reg file back into the registry.Go to the root, then \plugins -> ftp -> HKCU\Software

I just reconfigured my settings and copied them fromGerry Busch wrote:I find TC Pocket's registry editor indispensable for backing up program configurations, so the plugin is in my directory hotlist. \plugins\registry\HKCU\Software\Ghisler
to my sdcard. (safe place).
As a result i got a .reg file. I think i am ready for new beta-experiences

I see - you shouldn't do that, just install the new version "on top" of the old one.I used the Windows tool "settings/system/remove programs"
