How long is too long in your case? Currently TC supports paths up to 259 characters as the Explorer. Only TC 7.5 will support longer paths.

hi, I can reproduce this issue too.

When copying using standard TC method, I can definitely run into troubles when path is 213 chars long (including file name, this is an exact example). The path contains latin2 characters, but I think it is irrelevant.

When subst is used (path substition command) to part of the path (so the path is shorter), the file(s) is possible to copy. This behavior is reproduceable on local disk and network paths. If the copy method is changed to "Explorer style", it is possible to copy any file that was not possible to copy with the original method.

TC version is 7.04a

What is the exact path+filename of your example? What is your language setting for your windows?

The path is residing inside c:\Documents and settings\X123456\Dokumenty\.etc. (I can provide exact path tomorrow)

The locale of the system is Czech

I think it caused by using ANSI version of WinAPI for path operations. May be author gonna make a unicode version of TC?

Symbols like À Å Û æ þ cause problems independent of path length. TC 6.0 to 7.04a, Win XP.

Do you mean "...will be fixed in 7.5..."?
7.5 is not released yet, right?
