FTP - delete files

I'm deleting 1000-4000 files from FTP my connection is lost.

Please use function
Send command to keep conect alive ........

Please use function
Send command to keep conect alive ........
why i'm deleting files

This wouldn't help because the connection is busy deleting files anyway, so it wouldn't help to send additional keep alive commands. For some reason the connection is just lost...
