[req]: better tabs support with copy/move

Post by *apz »

hey, love the new v6.0 tabs

a quick idea, with copy/move, could the destination be now a combo box, so that pressing up/down selects choices of other tabs?

currently:
1.) mark files in source
2.) switch to other pane
3.) change tab to wanted destination (ctrl-tab)
4.) switch back to source pane
5.) f5/f6 and enter / f2
6.) switch to destination pane
7.) change tab back to what it was
8.) switch back to the source pane to end up in same condition as started

with proposed idea:
1.) mark files in source
2.) f5/f6
3.) press up/down to choose right tab from combo list (or enter own destination as always)
4.) enter / f2

what you think?

Nice!
Using Windows without Total Commander is like driving a car without a steering wheel!

Not exactly a combobox, but a checklistbox was already suggested to copy into multiple tabs at the same time.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.
