INI: 'AutoComplete=0' prevents 'CtrlArrow=1'

Post by *StatusQuo »

TC 7.5b1, XP SP3
(first symptom found here):
HISTORY.TXT wrote:09.04.08 Added: Let user choose between internal Ctrl+Arrow key movement and Windows edit box movement: wincmd.ini [Configuration] CtrlArrow=1/0
This doesn't work, if WINCMD.INI contains

Code: Select all

AutoComplete=0
(TC then acts like CtrlArrow=0 was present, even if CtrlArrow=1 is explicitly set.)

Is this a bug/limitation or a feature? (I couldn't find an answer in help or history.txt.)

Indeed Ctrl+Arrow keys has been turned off in this case because it was causing too many troubles. Maybei I should use just empty AutoComplete in this case?

I'm not sure, how an empty AutoComplete would look.
An existing but invisible (empty) AutoComplete box (like when no matching file is found) sounds like a nice solution.

Yes, that's what I meant - I use this in other places with no auto-complete for the enhanced selection method.

Fixed in TC7.50 beta 2 (tested in W2k SP4 & XP SP3).
Nice, thanks.
