"Drive button icons can be replaced via external DLL&qu

Are you sure you have put the new CORRECT line to wincmd.ini?
drivelib=c:\<path to library>\drvbmps.dll
When I downloaded the first file from Christian's page, I put the line to the ini file, changed path but.. I didn't change the dll name and the dll file has a little bit different name than the one in the example ini line in attached readme.

It's here for download: http://members.fortunecity.de/lefteous
Until now I used to change the example library in a resource editor. Now I set up a Visual-Studio.net 2003-project. It can used to easily create your own bitmaps for the drivebuttonbar.
Maybe someone wants to adapt my example to work with a free compiler (GCC, Borland).
How to:
Replace bitmaps with your own, compile -> done.
You can send me your bitmaps if you don't have a suitable compiler.
Advantage:
My Shell32-Bitmaps-library is smaller than the example library, although it contains 24-bit Bitmaps!
Another advantage is that a simple build script could be used to create a new library.
Download here.
i'm currently using the folowing icons: (all taken from Shell32.dll version 6.0.2800.1233):
3,5'-floppy disk: 7
5 1/4'-floppy disk: 6
CD-ROM: 12
FTP: unchanged
hdd: 9
net connected: 10
network neighborhood: 19
net disconnected: 11
RAM: 13
removable: unchanged
Has anyone an idea which icons I could take for ftp and removable?
There are 2 more buttons in the library. I'm not going to change them for Shell32DriveBitmaps.dll.

I know the forum rules and I know I shouldn't repeat my question in so short time but there are so many new threads these days (I mean after releasing TC 6) that I'm afraid my question can be lost among them.
So I repeat: Has anyone tried to change the drive icons under Win98?
I've tried to do it on three win98 SE computers and it was impossible to do it.
