As I remember, the path was shown only if the folder was selected before the search windows was opened (by using [Ins] or right mouse click)...
How would you manage to select the folder AFTER the searh window is opened? - The Search window is modal. ;-)

Not at all:
http://fenixproductions.republika.pl/tc/cmenu.png

In Polish it should say one of these: Znajdź, Szukaj or Wyszukiwanie.

Is it menu item generated by TC or Windows?

I don't know - but it opens TC's "Find Files" dialog, not Windows's Search dialog.

Here it is in Danish: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/context.png - "Søg..."

This screenshot is with TC running in English - which reveals that the only two items generated by TC seems to be "View (Llister)" and "Pack files".

I guess TC somehow intercepts Window's search command, when the user clicks "Søg...".

Here Explorer has "Søg..." placed the same line in its context menu. - Don't you have a "Znajdź..." (or alike) item either in your Explorer context menu?

Nope* but if it's from Windows than we know where the main topic's problem might be located.

*) Probably because of Locate32, switching off indexing service or something I don't remember - it was useless AFAIR :) If I find it I will make few more tests and post again. Too much off-topic from me for now.

Have You tried to use "minimize" or "maximize" button in search window? After selecting some folder and using "Search" option - in "Search in" path the root folder changes automatically to "C:\Documents and Settings\".

Is it Vista?

I had a missing search entry in context menu there too:

Use a shell menu viewer as suggested there works.

No, clean (default) *.ini file doesn't solve the problem. And what about the screenshot - at the moment I don't have the possibility to make the comparison between 7.50 PB1 vs 7.04a.

It's WinXP Pro (SP3 PL). I've checked few methods (your link too) and still got nothing. I know I did something to remove "Search" entry but I don't remember. Please, don't dig into it. I don't need it for daily basis. I've just wanted to have it for tests.

Unfortunately I can't get described effects on my PC. I will try to get missing "Search" and check then again.

Google Translation: :D
From what is observed shows that I described above is a symptom of error. In previous editions of TC, when you select the selected folder (regardless of disk / partition, the type and location of the media directory) and selecting from the context menu (or the shortcut Alt + F7) to "Search" in the search box is automatically displayed together with the full path of the selected directory ( the "Search"), while in TC 7.50 PB1 shown is only the name of a partition or drive. A further sign of confusion in the PB1 is based on the fact that after the window maximize or znormalizowaniu search (depending on the appearance of the default) instead of the path displayed in error appears to C: \ Documents and Settings ".

I have tested this and can confirm it, IF you have this in your wincmd.ini:

[SearchIn]
0=C:\Documents and Settings

TC will read that line and show it after min/maximizing the Find Files dialog - if the directory name exists in the current dir.

Definitely a bug!

Wich problem? - 1: the change of the "Search in" field after min/maximizing the Find Files dialog - or 2: the way (which has changed since TC 7.04) TC handles opening the Find Files dialog for ONE selected folder when using the context menu to open the dialog ?
