File encoding and lister mode - ASCII.
lister1.jpg - original search string in Ctrl+F dialog.
1) if to press OK and repeat F3 unti the end of file msgbox "Not found" (lister2_ok_f3_f3_msgbox.jpg) will appear.
Press again Ctrl+F and it will show original search string (see lister1.jpg).
2) however if to press ok, F3 and ctrl+F, search string will be converted:
lister2_ok_f3_ctrlF.jpg

Unfortunately I still cannot reproduce it, the search string remains exactly the same.
Here is what I tried
1. View file with F3
2. Switch to Ascii mode (press 'S')
3. Press Ctrl+F
4. Type some search string containing accents present in text
5. Enter to search
6. F3 to repeat until error
7. Ctrl+F -> original search string shown
What am I doing wrong?

You don't have to press F3 until the error, just press F3 once and then Ctrl+F (as described in 2) of my first post).6. F3 to repeat until error
7. Ctrl+F -> original search string shown
Also maybe this is related only to cyrillic chars...
I hope somebody with Russian Windows will confirm the bug...

I could confirm the problem now. The point isn't the repeated search - it's the SELECTION of text. TC 7.5 now uses the selected text for the search when you press Ctrl+F. This text was incorrectly taken when in ASCII view mode.
