SFTP configuration: where is it stored?

Post by *sjordi »

Hi,
I have the SecureFTP plugin (sftpplug) and was wondering where it actually stores the sites we create?
It's to move to a new machine and I'd like to backup those settings before installing on the new one.
I checked ini files and the registry, nothing found.

Thanks for any help.

It's stored in the same directory as the wincmd.ini is stored.
The name of the ini is "sftpplug.ini".
If you didn't know where it is, please have a look to Help -> About TC.
Below you will find the path to the ini files

There should be sftpplug.ini file in the same directory as your wincmd.ini (it's TC folder in my case).

If you use the master password feature of TC 7.5, the passwords will be stored separately (AES-encrypted) in wcx_ftp.ini.

Hmm, it's strange to use different ini files and store the passwords in another.
This gives the necessity to integrate the SFTP in the FTP new revival.

This is done because the encrypted password isn't returned to the plugin. The plugin interface allows the plugin to let the password manager store the password, not encrypt it and return it to the plugin.
