I was wondering if it would be possible to add an option to show long filenames on a second line in the status bar of the listers?
I mostly use the keyboard to navigate, and having to grab the mouse and hover a file to get the tooltip to show up is a pain.
I know I could probably bind some hotkey to pop up the tooltip, but I think it would be useful to have the information available while just browsing files.

Here is a screenshot of how it's done in DN, you will notice the folder circular_buffer is the current file in the right lister, and while the name is truncated because it's too long to show there, it's full name is shown on a line in the status at the bottom.

Thanks for your suggestion.
You can use the command cm_ShowHint with a hotkey to move the mouse over the file under the cursor - TC will then show the tooltip.

On my system hint contains file name (if long), type, date, size. And my custom lines. You may add any custom lines for any file types in Configuration - Display - Help texts - User-defined - [+].
About suggestion I may say that if status bar text will be customizable each user may set needed fields, long file name also.
