Hello !
• Please, could you show some stack trace for the installation crash ?
- Maybe is that issue specific to this OS… ? I guess that a few users are running¦can access it here (Karl

… and the crystal balls are getting unobtainable nowadays !

Good evening,
while the other is about a crash when running TC (previously installed “by hand”).
- I didn't merge the two threads, they seem two different effects (maybe from a common cause, of course…)

Windows 2008 Server ...
Sorry, seems as if our Windows admins took this playtoy offline some months ago. So, sorry, no access to Windows Server 2008.Clo wrote:- Maybe is that issue specific to this OS… ? I guess that a few users are running¦can access it here (Karl)…

I installed TC successfully under W2k8 Server. I downloaded the eval version of w2k8 (GER) (english here) and installed it into a virtual machine (intel VT is running). The tc setup worked like a charme
Even all associations are there

Sorry, I need some more information. I assume that user schittli was refering to the just released Windows Server 2008 R2, on which Total Commander has not been tested so far. The normal Server 2008 should not cause any problems!
So my questions:
1. Is it really the older Server 2008 which is causing you problems, or the newer Server 2008 R2?
2. The installer and TC are created with completely different compilers (Delphi and Watcom C), the only thing in common is the used EXE packer UPX. Can you try if the unpacked version of TC works?

To install, rename the downloaded file to unpack32_704a.zip and unpack it.

We will have to wait for the reply from user schittli. If he really tried to run TC 7.5 beta, he should please post the error address of the bug too...
