>> decent program that requires the registry will write to it upon execution
I try as hard as possible to be _really_ decent and NOT write anything to the Registry <g>
>> Size is irrelevant
I do not agree at all. While it's true that for benefit reasons the big companies disregarde code efficiency, so as to be able to get their new version out asap, I don't consider this good programming, or even good behaviour...
As I said, "This does not 'cost' anything "
New Version out:
--- Bug fixes (Remember that I work on this only since July 26th)
--- Some esthetic changes asked for by users

Nice work but I just have a problem with long path containing spaces !
File list :
Displayed into CopyToTabs as :R:\ ! Applications_Portables\! OQP\Portable_TeamViewer_4,1,6467_Fr_ContrôleDistance.ZIP
R:\ ! Applications_Portables\! OQP\Portable_UltraExplorer_2,0,3,1_Fr_GestionnaireDeFichiers.ZIP
So, the second file to copy is taken as two files :R:\ ! Applications_Portables\! OQP\Portable_TeamViewer_4,1,6467_Fr_ContrôleDistance.ZIP
R:\ ! Applications_Portables\!
OQP\Portable_UltraExplorer_2,0,3,1_Fr_GestionnaireDeFichiers.ZIP
1° R:\ ! Applications_Portables\!
2° OQP\Portable_UltraExplorer_2,0,3,1_Fr_GestionnaireDeFichiers.ZIP
and they are not found !
Last minute : "descript.ion" is not updated with your soft.

Vansumsen,
>> Nice work but I just have a problem with long path containing spaces !
Ah! Yesterday I started a thread in this forum
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=23324
because I had the same problem! A long thread in which I learned many things out TC, but nothing helped. I reverted to a previous Beta 7 directory and it worked there, and not with Beta 8...This morning everything returned to normal, and I have no idea why. Please have a look at the other thread, at least you can find some ideas to test.

I just tested with almost your data:
And it worked perfectly! Both with two prepared files and the automatic, ad-hoc TC dependent method.
So it seems really like my own, unexplainrd problem

Code: Select all
c:\ ! Applications_Portables\! OQP\Favorites, french, eeepc.zip

Version 4.0.0.0 uploaded just now.
Added a RadioGroup allowing: (from the help):
I also corrected several keyboard short-cuts and some bugs...

Added a RadioGroup allowing: (from the help):
Code: Select all
The Green RadioGroup "File Types to Show" Allows loading a normal *.LST file, but also
allows ADDING any file to the currently loaded list. This allows flexibility in loading
ad-hoc some files from different locations to the list. Of course you can save the list
as always with Alt-RightClick on the list.

Paul,
Thank you for the report!
>> 1° My second file in "File list" is always truncated and an error box is displayed when I Start Copying
This is strange. Is this not because you load a file without telling CTT to use it "as-is" and not try to interret it as a LST list ?
>> 2° The checkbox for exit after execution is not displayed
I saw it, and instead of just correcting this problem, and after several aesthetical comments from users, I (agains my conviction) changed the layout so as to have a "Config" button which opens a new, very clear, form. Unfortunately this "costs" another mouse click.
>>3° "descript.ion" is not updated into the destinations dir
I don't understand this comment? Do you mean it is not copied? MAybe it is a matter of attributes? I never considered this as the reason for the program is backups, and they are rarely Hidde, System etc...
Thank you.
If you consider DL'ing the new layout, Please remember that I have a working version of the old layout, and will probably use the old (bug free AFAIK) version. It will be always available.

1° The file.lst is Ok. when I load it the display in CTT is correct,
but when I start de copy the display change
and the second path is splited into two lines.
2°

3° Out of Tc it is difficult to manage the descript.ion

The file.lst contains only two paths…
R:\ ! Applications_Portables\! OQP\Portable_TeamViewer_4,1,6467_Fr_ContrôleDistance.ZIP
R:\ ! Applications_Portables\! OQP\Portable_UltraExplorer_2,0,3,1_Fr_GestionnaireDeFichiers.ZIP
Tried with TC7.50ß7 and TC7.5ß8 on a XP Pro Sp3 and a Vista machine !
Always the same behaviour.

Edited : The checkbox for exit after execution is not displayed only in Horizontal mode

Paul,
>> Tried with TC7.50ß7 and TC7.5ß8 on a XP Pro Sp3 Always the same behaviour.
I checked, and oyu are RIGHT (= I can reproduce the problem). I don't understand that. I'll have a look at it and report back.
>> Edited : The checkbox for exit after execution is not displayed only in Horizontal mode
There is a whole different way with those settings now - I put 4 settings on a different form so the main one is less cluttered.

Vansumsen,
I am sorry for the previous comments about your problem being similar to mine -- I misunderstood you.
This also means that I am the only one who ever had this strange behaviour of my program !!!
Found the reason for your problem and corrected it.
Thank you.
I need to do a couple more changes, so please do not yet download the new version. I'll correct the title of the thread with the new version when I am ready.

Vansumsen,
I just released version 4.2.0.0.
I hope this will be the last one... Your bug is corrected, and I added several other checks _while_ loading both TAB and LST files.
Since the configuration is now invisible, I added 7 "hidden" keyboard shortcuts to toggle settings. They are documented in the help, but also:
RightClick on the Help Button will display all the hidden shortcuts! Unusual, I agree...
