Passing background operation to BTM sometimes may be quite good. I think it is good to add Pause button context menu with some options like wait until other background operation finishes(sometimes this really needed), or to specify queue priority number, or just an item to show little listbox with background operations queue (to change order with dragging etc), passing to BTM and so on. For example, we may make Pause button a bit longer (and maybe progress bar a bit shorter) and to draw a little down arrow on it to show context menu presence (or just place nearly small context menu button):
