7.5b1 Where is delete in folder tree context menu?

Post by *JohnFredC »

History.txt says:

"01.02.08 Added: Delete directories in separate tree both in the file system and in file system plugins"

How is this implemented? There is no Delete item in the folder tree's context menu.

Neither the button nor the key stroke worked the first time I tried them. I changed focus (clicked) away from the tree and then back a few times.

Now they work. Thanks.

Maybe a focus/context behaviorial issue regarding the trees still remains?

It might be not only tree-related. I've got an info about TC going background after files/folders delete.

I am waiting for more details to make proper report.

No problem here with deleting from tree with Del or Shift+Del. Can you give me more info on how to reproduce the problem, please? The delete menu item isn't currently planned to avoid that the user deletes an entire branch by mistake.

Sorry Christian... I haven't been able to reproduce that issue since this morning. Will watch for it.

IMHO:

...is a little too much user hand-holding. Every competitor, including M$Explorer has it, so even the neophytes get to use it, but not TC users.

I imagine I'm not the only one who misses Delete in the folder context tree. Perhaps one could have it off by default and let the "power users" turn it on in the INI????

Incredible TC upgrade, by the way. Almost too much to get my head around. Sorry if I seem to be picking on an apparently little thing, but it is important to me and I had been expecting it in the new version.

Just today I accidentally discovered the inclusion of a delete action in the folder tree context menu in 7.5 final.

Wow! Finally!

Thank you very very much!
