MemoryStick Capacity Wrong on Vista Enterprise 32bit

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

MemoryStick Capacity Wrong on Vista Enterprise 32bit

Post by *jensrauff »

I have some memorysticks which I use fore various purposes. When I access them on my Vista PC all three reports as 1.0GB in TC. They are all Kingston and are 2, 2 and 4GB. Do any of you have the same problem?
TC versions tested 7.04 and 7.50.

When using TC7.04 on XP the capacities are fine.

Best regards Jens

Total Commander can only display what the system reports. I have tested this now on Windows Vista 32 bit and 64 bit with an 8 GB stick: The size was always shown correctly as 7.5 G in mode x.x k/M/G. Maybe the program is set to start in Windows 95 compatibility mode? Windows 95 didn't support GetDiskFreeSpaceEx yet, and the older GetDiskFreeSpace supported only disks up to 2 GB.
